Funny conversation with Sarah

Me: Sarah - Did you cry when LaNae did your hair like that because whenever I try to do it like that, you cry!

Sarah: I didn't cry, I didn't want LaNae to think I was a baby, but it hurt BAD.

HAHA...I laughed so hard!! I keep telling her if she keeps crying about everything that people in school will think she is a baby!! Sarah never ceases to amaze me with what she comes up with. She says some of the funniest things ever and I never know where she comes up with her ideas.

Awesome Weekend!!

Friday after school, we headed to Utah for the weekend. We got there and the kids thought they were starving so we ate at McDonald's quickly. Chuck E Cheese's happens to be near McDonald's so we called LaNae to see if she wanted to bring the kids and play with my girls there. We did and had a wonderful time! Afterwards, we went to LaNae's house and played a new game called Ticket to Ride. It was fun!! Saturday morning we went to see Luke's house. My mom hadn't see it yet, so it was fun to take her out and show her. We visited for a while and then decided we were getting hungry so we left and ate at the Sizzler quickly. We went to LaNae's and had a little birthday party for Sabrina since it was her birthday. I got a pinata and had pizza, cake and icecream. The kids all took turn hitting the pinata, but it didn't break. The stick broke! We then used a broom handle and it broke too. Finally, Jake was able to break the pinata and the kids each got quite a bit of candy! That evening, Naldo, Julliana, Lilise and I went shopping for a while and then we came back and everyone had gone. We went to bed and the whole night I was so worried I wouldn't hear my alarm on my cell phone so I didn't sleep well. Well, needless to say about 5:30 I had enough and got up and got ready. We left around 6:00 a.m. because my mom was getting a little anxious. We arrived in SLC and had the car parked in the parking garage by 7:00! I parked and then decided it would be smarter to back in so I could just pull out after conference - so I turned around and backed in. We started walking and mom was soooo sure she was going the right way. We got down 1/2 block and I told her she was crazy and going the wrong way...yeah...she was totally going the wrong way. We made it to the conference center and we were about 5th in line from the door. We waited about 30 minutes outside. It wasn't cold, so that was good. Once we got in, we sat in the terrace section at the very bottom practically so it seemed as though were on the floor. It was so cool. They were recording Music and the spoken word when we got there, but did it again live at 9:30 and then conference started right after that. I was so tired, so it was a struggle for a while in the beginning to stay awake. Once conference started, I was wide awake. It is so amazing how many people could fit in that conference center. Every single seat was filled. I liked all the talks, but the one that sticks out in my mind and really caught my attention was Elder Hollands about Jesus Christ and His ministry. Just sitting there listening brought tears to my eyes. The message about Christ's ministry has been talked about many times in church, conferences, talks, etc, but the way Elder Holland talked about it with such reverence and love, it really hit me hard. It was so powerful to be sitting at the Prophet and Apostles feet literally. I'll never forget this experience and wish everyone everywhere had the opportunity at least once in their lifetime to go to conference in SLC. After conference, we were able to get right out and back on the freeway by 12:30 pm. We met Naldo in Bountiful. He brought the girls up so we didn't have to drive back down to Provo to get them. We left and made it home safe and sound. This weekend passed by so quickly, but it was one amazing and awesome weekend. A big THANKS to my sister for letting us stay at her house and use it for Sabrina's party! She's the BEST ever!!
